We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ground Support Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of ground support equipment used in aviation operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various tools, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability and safety of all equipment.
SHIFT & PAY :
- 2nd Shift : 2 : 00pm-10 : 30pm (Monday-Friday)
- 3rd Shift : 10 : 00pm-6 : 30am (Monday-Friday)
- Pay : $28.50-33.50
- Must be able to work holidays
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including but not limited to tugs, belt loaders, and fuel trucks.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to operational schedules.
- Assist in the training of new mechanics on proper maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Must have own set of tools
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
- Familiarity with diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if required.
