Responsibilities include :
- Identify, lead, and implement production cost reduction initiatives
- Review and analyze plant operations to reduce downtime, utility / power consumption, and enhance safety
- Ensure timely completion of projects by managing vendors, contractors, and collaborating with plant and corporate personnel
- Provide training and guidance for preventive and repair maintenance to optimize plant operations
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding project timelines, budget estimates, and price negotiations
- Perform technical / engineering analysis to determine equipment specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, FDA Regulations, and Permitting requirements
What you need to succeed :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA preferred)
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Technical system analysis, design skills, technical understanding, process improvement, CAD, manufacturing methods and procedures, preventative maintenance
- Process equipment knowledge, including a background in food ingredients storage, conveying of powders and liquid ingredients, continuous and batch mixing processes, extrusion, cooling, and coating processes
