Kartini Clinic, an innovative pediatric eating disorder clinic in Portland, OR is looking for an intern to join our team! At Kartini Clinic our mission to help children with all conditions of disordered eating is aided by our talented multidisciplinary team.
As an intern in our intake department, you will have the opportunity to aid in the process of helping families take the next steps in getting treatment for their child.
This position may be perfect for you if you love kids, thrive in a team environment with a friendly and positive attitude, and enjoy connecting with and helping people.
While this is an unpaid internship, being an intern is a great way to gain experience in a competitive field and possibly receive school credit.
The Intake Coordinator Assistant Intern will assist with the following :
- Sending and obtaining registration information from parents and providers for assessments
- Coordinating release of information with parents and entering into patient's electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Use patient records to create growth charts
- Compile the necessary information for the doctor in order to assist with an accurate diagnosis
- Keep referring provider care teams up-to-date (EPIC)
Requirements and attributes :
- Love working with children
- Have a Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program
- Be well organized with attention to detail skills
- Be punctual
- Be a team player with a positive attitude
- Will obtain CPR Certification, once hired
- Will undergo a background check, once hired
- Must read our text Give Food A Chance within first month, once hired
- This is a smoke-free environment
This will be a 3-12 month internship, with flexible days and times during the work-week.
If you are a current student, we are willing to work with your university or college in order to help facilitate credit for degree programs.
This is an on-site internship. Please disclose if you are at a high risk of exposure for COVID-19 in your day-to-day life.

Oregon state regulations require healthcare workers to be vaccinated. In order to comply, all Kartini Clinic employees must provide documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination or provide a Kartini HR approved Medical or Religious Exemption Form prior to start date.
Employees who are not vaccinated and have an approved exemption, must provide negative COVID-19 test results on a weekly basis.
