Description
The Operations Supply Planning Coordinator will execute supply plans in a defined production area. They will be the key liaison between assigned operation area and supply planners.
Employee will also provide limited, back-up, supply planning support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete production activities to meet the supply plan, for a specific, defined, production area (ex. Biologics / Tissue, Packaging, MFG, etc.).
- Production activities may include :
a. Manufacture or packaging of product
b. Preparation of product to ship to external suppliers
c. System receipt / transfer of inventory, from internal and external supply, to appropriate inventory locations
d. Physical movement of inventory to appropriate location
e. Completion of documentation as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI)
f. Inventory reconciliation of internal or external product
g. For tissue / biologic production, maintain security and identity of tissue and tissue related products in the operations area
h. Escalation of product or process non conformances to the team leader for timely resolution
- As needed for a short-term, limited-capacity, schedule daily work orders to support production targets in one or more production area.
- For Biologics product coordinate product shipment to customers in collaboration with Tissue Bank Director and appropriate Customer Service representative
- Work closely with the Supply Planning Manager to solve complex planning, communication, continual improvement concerns.
- Operate forklifts and company vehicles as necessary to transport material
- Understand and follow all department SOP’s and WI’s for the assigned operation area.
- Understand and follow all SOP’s and WI’s for the supply team.
- Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International Standards.
- Assist and Support other employees, teams and sales personnel as necessary.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Education :
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience :
- 3 years experience in medical device operations preferable
- 3 years experience in inventory control and MRP
- Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Functional / Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
- Valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Self-starter, well organized and able to make sound decisions from proper analysis of data.
Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Communication Skills (verbal & written)
- Knowledge of GMP and ISO 9001 : 13485 preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
