Description
We are looking for skilled woodworkers with experience in crafting custom cabinets and assembling premade cabinet components from a millwork assembly line.
Candidates must be proficient with a variety of power and hand tools, such as circular saws, hammers, and levels. While completion of a formal training program or apprenticeship in woodworking is preferred, we welcome candidates with extensive industry experience.
This position is located at our Maintenance department in Orlando, FL. Occasional travel as needed.
Monday Friday 7 : 00a-4 : 00pm
Job Responsibilities :
- Construct and assemble cabinet components, ensuring all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client.
- Verify and double-check all calculations to ensure proper alignment of doors, hinges, and side panels, using blueprints or design plans as reference.
- Accurately measure and mark materials to maximize efficiency and meet project budget constraints.
- Install hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials when necessary.
- Match materials and grains to ensure a uniform appearance across all units.
- Reinforce joints and attachments to ensure durability and sturdiness without compromising aesthetics or functionality.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, disposing of old materials such as nails and screws appropriately.
- Varnish, stain, and paint cabinets as required.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required :
- Strong understanding of necessary mathematics for accurate measurement and calculation.
- In-depth knowledge of materials and processing techniques.
- Proficiency in applicable engineering and design skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience in construction, carpentry, or woodworking.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skilled in using a variety of power and hand tools.
Preferred :
Completion of a cabinet-making apprenticeship or formal woodworking training.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations) :
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 40 pounds or more as needed.
- Capable of working indoors and outdoors depending on project needs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
