C++/Qt Engineer--100% REMOTE

My client is looking for a C++ / Qt Engineer to join their growing team. This is 100% remote with the exception of a week onsite to train in Austin, TX.

Team Methodology- daily scrum meetings. Agile methodology. Do weekly planning sessions and backlog reviews. Do blind effort sizing to determine right story sizing

Interview Process - 30 mins with Manager and his lead. 2nd round is more indepth- candidate might be given code and would need to identify problem with the code and how they would solve it.

What is he looking for- C++ and QT Platform engineering

They are in C++ fourteen environment.

They have 25-year-old code based with about 1.5 million lines of code. It s a linux and windows environment and he needs someone with these skills to dig in to the code.

Look at the complicated code base to find out problems and bugs and solutions . Someone who can do root cause analysis.

Representative Responsibilities :

• Develop system design and documentation including requirements, architecture, and verification plans.
• Implement system designs to be reliable, scalable and secure
• Provide mentorship and guidance less experienced engineers
• Contribute to development and refinement of departmental best practices
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver a manufacturable, reliable product
• Follow emerging technology trends and working with external consultants to improve the overall software offering at ETC

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related discipline
• Proficiency in object oriented development using modern C++
• Familiarity with software design patterns and best practices
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and programming methodologies
• Multi-threaded, asynchronous and concurrent application design and development
