The Job :

As Director of IT Vendor Management, you’ll be part of our Corporate IT team working as a remote employee. This role is ideally filled by someone with a unique blend of technical and business acumen, the ability to look holistically at the landscape while identifying requirements and solutions to make our combined vision a reality.

This role involves close collaboration with all levels of the IT team and some corporate functions.

You’ll get to :

  • Review HW, SW and SaaS contracts to ensure correctly structured and priced
  • Support functional leadership in defining framework to ensure service providers, are being held accountable to SLA terms and performance standards
  • Use ROI and financial modeling tools and other available data to help internal stakeholders make informed decisions on existing HW, SW, and SaaS contracts, license structures and license levels.
  • Address performance and other issues for key providers
  • Work with Stanley Black and Decker Procurement to determine and define optimal pricing / rates and key business terms for HW, SW and SaaS providers
  • Define an optimal sourcing strategy for HW. SW and SaaS suppliers partner with EA, business stakeholders and procurement to ensure the solution meets the organizations’ needs and deliver the most advantageous terms and conditions for SBD
  • Influences individuals within and outside the IT department.
  • Prepares and presents reports and analysis to all levels of leadership and staff.
  • Core Competencies : Analytical Skills (Data / Financial / Price Analysis), Project / Time Management, Problem Solving, Communication / Presentation, Results Orientation, Contract Interpretational Accuracy, Relationship Building, Business & Professional Acumen.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling experience

12+ years Vendor Management (Strategic Supplier, Contract Management) experience with global, complex, strategic initiatives required.

Management consulting background preferred.

  • 8+ years IT Technology category (hardware, software, IT related labor) required. Software highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical planning and execution skills
  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management
  • Strong supplier management and partner relation skills to leverage resources, both internally and externally to the enterprise, to enhance capabilities that support business objectives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Legal, or other quantitative discipline. MBA preferred.
