Job Description

As the Building Engineer you will, perform highly complex repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

• Perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of HVAC, EMS / BMS, Electrical and Plumbing.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools, power tools and reassemble equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
• Inspect drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery and equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Coordinate the work of outside contractors.
• Provide work leadership for lower level maintenance mechanics through assignment of work.
• Provide technical guidance and review of assignment progress.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

• Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires at least 5 years related experience.
• Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of, buildings, or other structures.
• Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Able to move at least 50 lbs.
