Position Overview :

As the Service Director, you will oversee our service teams, ensuring the efficient reconditioning of our inventory vehicles and the servicing of our loyal customer base.

This role is highly focused on operational leadership driving processes, maintaining standards, and managing resources to achieve maximum efficiency.

As a top company leadership position, you will collaborate directly with the dealership owner and leadership team, aligning service operations with overall business goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a department of technicians, service advisors, and detailers across multiple locations.
  • Oversee the reconditioning process for inventory vehicles, ensuring they are prepared for sale to the highest standards.
  • Oversee parts inventory management, monitor stock levels, and maintain accuracy in counts and purchases.
  • Ensure all service and parts vendor relationships are maintained for maximum benefit, continuously seeking the best pricing and efficiencies.
  • Develop and refine operational processes to streamline service department performance.
  • Collaborate with the dealership owner and management to align service operations with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with daily, monthly, and annual reporting requirements.
  • Provide top-tier customer service to our existing client base, focusing on timely and quality vehicle servicing.
  • Play a key role in recruiting and retaining top talent for service roles.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Minimum of 3+ years of service management, reconditioning, or fleet management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong operational mindset with exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • Proven experience in managing service teams focused on reconditioning and maintenance (not sales).
  • Automotive technician experience is a strong plus but not required.
  • Experience with Buy Here Pay Here organizations is a significant advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
