Middle Market Publicly Traded Specialized Financing firm looking for a CFO.
The candidate will be responsible for the overall financial reporting and accounting operations of the company. Duties include :
- Lead production of quarterly financial reports, drafting of 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-Ks, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC guidance
- Lead quarterly and year-end external reporting process
- Document and maintain internal controls for compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
- Lead annual budget construction and quarterly variance analysis
- Manage banking relationships
- Work with CEO on capital initiatives
- Interact with investors to highlight business and value creation strategy
- Lead audit committee meetings and financial portion of Board meetings
- Manage tax, valuation, and audit relationships
- Work with Assistant Controller to maintain accounting records and general ledger system, track stock awards and calculation of stock compensation expense, manage vendor payables, payroll, insurance, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Public company CFO experience or a senior FP&A position in a public company with demonstrated track record of success
- CPA and national public accounting experience preferred, but not a requisite if career progression demonstrates strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting regulations and strong technical accounting skills
- Experience in the specialty finance, investment management, or banking industry required
- Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with investors, capital markets, banks, and Board
- Ability to work under strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical focus
- Candidate expected to work from Dallas Corp headquarters
