ACES is actively seeking a TS / SCI cleared andseasoned Tactical Communications Policy and Strategy Subject MatterExpert (SME) to join our team providing critical support to theDepartment of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer for CommandControl Communications and Infrastructure (DoD CIO C3I).
In thispivotal role you will work directly with the CIOs office to shapepolicies provide strategic direction design architectures andcontribute to systems engineering for communication and informationnetwork programs and initiatives.
Your primary objective is todrive the development of a dynamic resilient and collaborativetactical information environment while ensuring strict adherence toDoD policies and oversight.
This in turn will empower ourwarfighters intelligence assets and mission partners to harnesssecure and reliable tactical communications in diverse domains andenvironments.
To excel in this role candidates must hold an activeTS / SCI clearance and bring extensive senior staffing experiencewithin DoD HQ organizations.

OPPORTUNITY
- Clearance : US Citizens with an Active TS / SCI or TS without SCI as long as TSwas adjudicated within the past 2 years( MANDATORY )
- Contract : Have been supporting client for over 15years
- Work Location : Hybrid with 3 halfdays onsite each week for at total requirement of8 hours on site each week at the Mark Center (4800 Mark CenterDrive ArlingtonVA)
- Education / Experience : Masterswith 15 years in relevant field or bachelors with 17 years relevantexperience

PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES
- Providetechnical support and formulate roadmaps policies and standards toassist the government in ensuring Tactical Communicationsinteroperability among DoD and partnernations.
- Develop recommendations reports andbriefing materials necessary to guide and inform DoD CIO C3positions activities and decisions.
- Offertechnical expertise and analysis support for current military andfuture force communications and network portfolio policiescommunication architectures systems and operations in the airground and maritime domains.
- Assist in thedevelopment of joint concepts and integrated architecturalsolutions to address validated warfighting capabilitygaps.
- Support DoD communications andinformation technology policy initiatives by leveraging knowledgeof the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS)process Defense Acquisition System (DAS) Planning ProgrammingBudgeting and Execution (PPBE) and other related formal decisionand staffing processes within theDoD.
- Contribute to DoD CIO and Department ofHomeland Security partnered efforts including but not limited toDefense Support to Civilian Authorities FirstNet andenterpriselevel Land Mobile Radio initiatives in the air ground andmaritime domains.
- Participate in enterprisegovernance working groups and capability boards as well asServicespecific boards and working groups.
Support the coordinationof DoD CIO positions and contribute to the development of briefingsand briefing materials for use by DoD CIO seniorleadership.
SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE
- StrongDoD Senior Staffing experiencerequired.
- Experience supporting a HeadquartersJoint Staff or Service Staff Officer or SeniorLeadership.
- Familiarity with TacticalCommunications vendors andtechnologies.
- Knowledge of TacticalCommunications including SATURN HQ SINCGAR HF Link16 BFT WRENand / or related tactical communications waveforms andsystems.
- Proficiency in briefing andorganizational skills including experience with DoD issuancesstrategy or related enterprisedocuments.
- Exceptional written and verbalcommunication skills.
- Proficient in usingMicrosoft Office 365 especially Teams and SharePointOnline.
DesiredSkills
- Awareness ofJoint AllDomain Command and Control (JADC2) and the enabling roleof tactical communications.
- Experience with RFwaveforms communications gateways and network development oroversight.
- Experience in conducting technicaland programmatic research and producing information and decisionpapers.
- Knowledge of Open Systems Architecturedevelopment and implementation.
- Experience incoordinating sponsoring and facilitating largescale technicalmeetings andconferences.
