Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced P&ID CAD Drafter to support the chemical and refining manufacturing industry by preparing, modifying, and updating engineering drawings.
This role will require proficiency in AutoCAD, field experience for job verification and as-built modifications, and the ability to apply company engineering standards.
Qualifications :
- Experience : 5-10 years of industrial experience with P&ID drafting and walkdowns in chemical and refining facilities.
- Technical Knowledge : Expertise in piping equipment and components, such as pumps, compressors, exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, towers, pipelines, valves, and control valves, as commonly used in chemical manufacturing.
- Field-Ready : Ability to perform field verifications, wear required PPE, and execute accurate as-built drawings.
- Software Skills : Proficient in AutoDesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Legal Requirements : Authorization to work lawfully in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to and promote company safety standards in all tasks.
- P&ID Drafting : Independently prepare and update engineering P&ID drawings, ranging from simple to complex.
- Redline & As-Built Data : Perform updates using redline (as-built) data provided.
- Field Identification & Verification : Identify mechanical equipment and piping components on-site, ensuring accuracy in drawings.
- CAD Proficiency : Utilize the latest version of AutoCAD and Document Management System, following proper drafting standards.
- Piping Symbology Knowledge : Demonstrate familiarity with ISA standards and piping symbology.
- Engineering Standards Application : Implement company engineering standards in daily assignments, including Management of Change (MOC) information.
- Field As-Built Activities : Complete field as-built P&IDs related to project design scope, field changes, and Project Closures / PHA.
- Team Collaboration : Maintain an efficient, cooperative team environment, communicating professionally.
