Position Title : Assistant City Prosecutor (DUI) - (Fixed-Term Benefited)

The purpose of this position is to perform professional level work of substantial difficulty and exceptional quality with minimal supervision, including legal research, investigations, charging, litigation, motions, pleadings, bench and jury trials, appellate memoranda, negotiations with defense attorneys and pro per defendants, advising staff on routine matters and all other activities in conjunction with the prosecution of misdemeanor criminal cases.
In particular the City is searching for an attorney with prosecution experience, specifically extensive experience handling DUI cases and conducting DUI jury trials.

The ideal candidate for this position will have :
- A positive, team-oriented outlook.
- Recent experience conducting DUI THC jury trials.
- Completed a minimum of five DUI jury trials.
- Experience working in a prosecution office.
- Experience with DUI Motion practice and appeals.
This is a Fixed-Term (Contract) position that is eligible for benefits.
