Director of Renewable Energy Project Development
Location : Fully Remote (Texas-based).
A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Renewable Energy Project Development to join their team.
To date, they currently boast around 1GW of projects are currently in development, they are looking for a visionary leader to drive their expansion and success in the Texas market.
This forward-thinking renewable energy developer is committed to accelerating the transition to clean energy. Their portfolio includes a diverse range of solar, wind, and energy storage projects across Texas, with 1GW currently in various stages of development.
The Role
- The Director of Renewable Energy Project Development will : Lead and oversee the development of the 1GW project pipeline in Texas.
- Identify and evaluate new project opportunities, including greenfield sites.
- Negotiate land agreements and build relationships with landowners.
- Manage the project development lifecycle from conception to construction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and legal.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the project portfolio.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development.
- Proven track record of successfully developing utility-scale solar, wind, or energy storage projects.
- Strong understanding of the Texas energy market and regulatory environment.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously.
