General Manager

A leading importer and distributor of a broad line of plumbing and heating products is looking for a self-motivated General Manager responsible for the supervision, planning, and development of its branch.

The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with budgeting, forecasting, and planning expertise within the plumbing and heating industry.

By collaborating with various departments, the new General Manager will achieve business objectives by maximizing profitability, generating strong financial returns, and prioritizing exceptional customer experiences.

Salary + Additional Benefits :

• $100,000-$120,000

Location : Monrovia, CA

Type of Position : Direct Hire

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and direct the work of the branch associates.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase branch sales and profitability.
• Plan and implement training for all employees in sales, customer service, and warehouse.
• Oversee the performance of all employees in compliance with company policies and standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees.
• Oversee budget preparation and monitor expenses.
• Oversee customer complaints and resolve them effectively.
• Oversee assigned branch to ensure that customers receive excellent service and products are available at fair prices.
• Manage accounts receivable accounts in the branch manager’s name to ensure timely payment of customer receivables and minimize delinquency.

Requirements :

• High School Diploma / GED
• 5 or more years of successful and relevant sales / management experience
• Skill in building long term customer relationships
• Limited travel to customer sites
• Competent ability in budgeting, forecasting, and planning
• Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor
• Experience in a similar home service industry : Plumbing, HVAC, Roofing, Home Improvement, or Construction
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing / heating industry
• Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong leadership, motivation, and managerial skills
• Demonstrated skill in developing and implementing business plans and goals
• Self-motivated
• Display persistence with strong drive to succeed
