We are looking for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Program Director to direct and manage all aspects of the IAM program and team.
This position has full responsibility for essential services critical to identity and access management. T his position is responsible for the overall strategy, vision, planning, evaluation, architecture & implementation of the entire Identity / Access Management stack to ensure the effective management of user identities, access rights, provisioning / deprovisioning, and privileges across our organization.
The IAM Program Director will drive process improvements to support the evolving needs of the institution and will work closely with IT teams, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that the systems meet regulatory and security requirements, institutional goals, and provide a seamless user experience.
This position serves a critical role in the overall security of information technology systems and must collaborate closely with Security and Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provides strategic and operational leadership for delivery of services to support the identity and access management needs and goals of the university community.
- Responsible for the overall strategy, planning, evaluation, architecture & implementation of the entire Identity / Access Management stack
- Ensures IdM systems and technologies enforce the security and compliant standards of the university and align with industry best practices.
- Engages in full software life cycle, including requirements gathering and client interaction, collaborating with software and system architects on systems design, implementation, and testing, and providing ongoing support and maintenance to IAM software and platforms.
- Works closely with the Security Operations team to ensure proper controls are in place for identity management.
- Interacts with campus business units to deliver solutions in automated provisioning / deprovisioning, authentication and authorization processes, single sign-on, and other IAM-related efforts.
- Gathers requirements to design and deliver IAM solutions that integrate with technology systems that meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
- Drives technical efforts related to identity and access management system architecture and design.
- Maintains financial responsibility for products and services in the IAM portfolio to ensure the university is getting the most value for all technology investments.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the IAM program by regularly reviewing processes, workflows, and technologies for enhancements.
Work Location :
Hybrid - This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment. AMC OIT strives for a high-flex work environment, meaning although this role can predominately be executed effectively with a remote schedule, there may be instances where in-person meetings and / or activities are needed.
There is no minimum or prescribed in-person requirement. The work schedule will be based around core working hours in Colorado Mountain Time.

Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in information technology, MIS, Computer Science, Business, or a closely related field.
Experience :
- 2-4 years' experience as a technical manager or technical lead in identity management domain.
- 4-6 years' experience with all phases of the system development lifecycle at an enterprise level.
- 2-4 years' experience in enterprise application administration of identity and access systems.
- 2-4 years' experience with administering security in IdM systems
A combination of education and related technical / paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 10 years' experience in enterprise application administration or identity management.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline
- Experience with Containerization and Orchestration Technologies
- Experience with Modern Authentication and Authorization technologies
- Experience with common automation technologies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Must be technically proficient in a broad range of related IdM technologies and be capable of synthesizing and integrating competing priorities and objectives to make measured decisions as to unit goals and objectives.
- Experience with major cloud providers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to resolve scheduling, competing priorities and other conflicts to meet target dates and budget.
- Strong customer service focus and the ability to lead and make sound decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work across teams and divisions to continuously improve collaboration and remove silos.

Anticipated Pay Range :
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as : $120,000 - $140,000 .
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
