Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director, HR Business Partner.

Position Status : Full-time, Day Shift

Position Location : Richmond and Virginia Beach, VA ( Hybrid schedule may be available)

Standard Working Hours : 8 : 00AM to 5 : 00PM (ET).

Position Responsibilities :

  • Partner with division executive leadership teams to develop, lead and manage division people-related strategy with shared responsibility for goal achievement.
  • Drive HR practices, processes and initiatives that support division strategic objectives.
  • Solve complex challenges through people-related solutions.
  • Partner with Centers of Expertise (COE's) to design and execute strategy.
  • Maintain advanced level of business literacy of division financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.
  • Travel required between Richmond and Virginia Beach for onsite meetings as scheduled.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Seven (7) years progressive experience in managing people, processes and resources achieving identified goals and objectives.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines to include compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity, performance management, and Federal / State employment laws.

Preferred :

  • SPHR, Healthcare experience
  • Master's degree
  • Health Plan experience

Job Summary

Seven (7) years progressive experience in managing people, processes and resources achieving identified goals and objectives.

Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines to include compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity, performance management, and Federal / State employment laws.

SPHR, Healthcare experience and masters degree preferred.

This position is aligned to the Sentara Health Plans Division.
