Pequod's Pizza in Chicago is looking for dedicated and reliable kitchen workers to expand the back-of-house team at our high-volume pizzeria.
As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and timely preparation of orders for guests.
Kitchen Team Members prepare appetizers, salads, pasta, sandwiches and pizzas in our restaurant while maintaining clean, sanitary and well-stocked stations.

The restaurant is open for service from 11am - 2am Monday - Saturday and 11am - 12am on Sunday. We are currently looking to fill both part time and full time positions.
This role involves working nights and weekends with shifts starting around 4pm or 5pm and concluding around 2 : 30am.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with food preparation tasks in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens and mixers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen including washing utensils, equipment and appliances, sanitizing surfaces and storing ingredients properly.
- Monitor food supplies and replenish as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak dining hours.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with management and other team members to prioritize tasks and coordinate workflow ensuring all tasks are completed.
Promptly report any issues to management.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining inventory supply levels.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to uphold food quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a pizzeria setting.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume kitchen while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Positive attitude, reliability and a passion for delivering exceptional food guests.
