Job Summary

The primary function of the part-time temporary work-study student is to assist the Dean or his / her designee with clerical and customer service duties.

This position reports to the Dean or designee. The candidate will also be expected to occasionally assist with office related functions.

When assigned to a specific office, the employee reports to the Office Manager.

Responsibilities

Reception, data entry, filing and other clerical support. Specifically involves working in the following areas : -Disseminating information, office supply orders.

Fulfill requests for photocopying, scanning, and run errands (campus deliveries and pick-ups as needed).

  • Assist delivering internal mail. Stock copiers w / paper.
  • Preparing conference rooms or offices, setup and making spaces presentation-ready and dismantling any setup as advised.
  • Assisting with classroom setup- Event planning : venue reservations, confirmations & follow-up
  • Making phone calls and sending emails for various projects.
  • Correspondence, including mail merges & mail preparation
  • Preparing & updating bulletin boards
  • Respond to inquiries from general public, students, faculty, and staff.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be actively enrolled as an AMSC student.
  • Must be eligible and approved as a Federal Work Study Student.
  • Must be in good academic standing with at least a 2.0 GPA.

Proposed Salary

$12.00 per hour at 19 hours per week.
