BASIC PURPOSE :
The Director of Talent and Organizational Development is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and delivery of the talent management strategy in support of attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining top talent.
Programs include competency framework integration, performance management, emerging talent and leadership development, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives across the Bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Implement talent management activities aligned to strategy to identify, develop, and retain top talent.
- Manage the design, implementation, administration, and communication of the Bank’s performance management process.
- Help develop, guide, and manage the execution of talent management programs by identifying organizational talent needs, securing resources, communicating with stakeholders, and prioritizing work.
- Help develop tools and / or assessments that guide managers to make effective talent-related decisions and effectiveness of learning initiatives.
- Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and outcomes.
- Present strategies and report outcomes to members of senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and provide consultation through thought leadership and strategic direction on the development of a talent and development strategy.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate best practices and tools to source and hire talent, to assess and measure talent, and to link performance to business objectives.
- Drive programs by leveraging data to inform decisions. Measure impact of talent programs to ensure the appropriate business outcome is derived.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES :
- Advanced ability to create and implement given strategic direction.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong understanding of talent development best practices, career pathing, competency modeling, and performance coaching.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful talent management and organizational development strategies in a corporate or organizational setting with a strong understanding of external best practices.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Experience driving change management initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field and / or no less than seven years of progressive experience in talent management and organizational development, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK LOCATION : Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially. This position may not be filled in California, either in-person or remotely.
