Job purpose
As the h ead of the BorgWarner - Akasol production floor teams, t he Production Supervisor will oversee the manufacturing of High Voltage Battery systems through collaborative and proactive interactions with Engineering, Quality, Materials and production floor associates.
Key responsibilities
Leads the technical and disciplinary direction of the assigned shift leaders within our production environment.
Accountable for strategic execution of the production plan through the o ptimization of production processes, Lean Manufacturing, cycle time optimization, and other methods as required to achieve the defined production targets.
Accountable for the on-time delivery KPI.
Provides fault analysis and definition of measures in the event of plant malfunctions in cooperation with the production engineering department.
Assists Production Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
Reports production results to Operations team.
Support CIP measures, maintenance, and servicing activities.
Maintaining order and cleanliness (5S) of the production floor.
Preparation and continuous updating of production documentation.
Schedule and oversee approximately 30-40 production & maintenance techs employees.
Implementation and organization of safety instructions based on current regulations and ensuring compliance.
Participation in recruiting production employees.
Regular employee training and further development of the qualification matrix.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for
High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree within an Engineering Discipline (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) Highly preferred
Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with communicating both technical and non-technical concepts, regularly utilizing Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
