Reputable Law Firm is seeking a Sr. Billing Specialist to join their team! The Sr. Billing Specialist will act as the right hand to the Billing Supervisor and perform all aspects of the firm's monthly billing process, including special billing related projects.
Responsibilites :
- Billing support in all aspects of billing / collections / AR for the firm including : reporting, cost recovery, information management, client communication.
- Collaboration with collections team to discuss Collections and AR activities.
- Invoice preparation and recording.
- Accounting closing activities associated with month-end and initiation of new billing cycles.
- Electronic billing program implementation and maintenance, and work on special billing projects as needed.
- Provide instruction and training to others in the use of the Time and Matter programs.
- Answer questions and assist attorneys and staff in the use of various reports, and Timekeeping and Matter inquiry programs.
Requirements :
- Solid understanding of and experience with Rate Management
- 4+ years of experience with billing in a law firm or professional services firm.
- MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel), PDF and Windows-based accounting or finance software.
- Familiarity with Aderant, Elite, Prebill Viewer, or comparable billing software
- Strong reconciliation and research skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively.
- Strong skills in time management, organization, interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure
