Job Description

The Veolia Regional Product Applications Engineer will work directly with our North American customers. In this role, a successful candidate will provide expert technical support for our customers regarding water treatment and processing applications using various membrane and filter products.

You will be working on real customer challenges, including pilot testing and field support, with a fundamental understanding of unit operations.

You will also work directly with industry leaders to expand the Filters and Membranes business.

Essential Functions :

Provides membrane separation / filtration technical & commercial support, develops winning

technical solutions and proposals, focused on driving profitable growth while balancing risk

across the entire Veolia Engineered Systems portfolio

Generates solutions to customer issues and takes reasonable risks using advanced scientific concepts for product and process innovation

Communicates key information clearly to internal and external customers to influence technical decisions and strategy

Executes the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound

scientific / engineering principals

With limited direction from a manager, they can manage small projects to completion and share technical knowledge with their group.

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years’ experience in the water treatment or membrane filtration industry OR

Master’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years of experience in water and membrane-related product engineering

Understanding of membrane filtrations and how MF / UF / NF / RO membrane processes work, O3 and UV technologies

Water treatment unit operation trouble-shooting capability

Ability to travel up to 25% domestically

Desired :

Project management experience in membrane separation and / or water treatment

Very strong analytical skills; ability to implement data-driven decisions based on experiment data

Technical Sales experience or Sales oriented mindset

Ability to work with remote cross-functional and cross-cultural teams

Strong oral and written communication skills
