Job Summary
The Telecommunications Specialist is responsible for analyzing and processing incoming and outgoing telephone calls. The Telecommunications Specialist must follow emergency procedures for Springfield locations during codes, traumas, medical emergencies, external / internal disasters, fire alarms, etc.
This will include using overhead paging, pocket pagers, Zipit pagers, security radios, etc. The Telecommunications Specialist is responsible for contacting the hospital chaplain for departments as requested, and are responsible for performing overhead pages and announcements as requested.
The Telecommunications Specialist is responsible for paging weather alerts to all facilities, as well as for maintaining accurate information in operator database and reporting any missing information to System Manager.
Job Requirements
Education
Required : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
Customer Service or Call Center experience preferred
