Preferred Qualifications Position Summary This position is a critical resource to receive and distribute information and is a significant necessity to the normal functions of the local UGA County Extension office.
It is a non-exempt professional staff role responsible for handling the many resources offered by the extension office. A certain level of independent judgment is necessary to effectively carry out the duties of the job and the incumbent will manage administrative duties by developing techniques and procedures as appropriate.
This position works cooperatively with all Extension faculty and staff where applicable and is administratively responsible to the County Extension Coordinator.

Proficient in typing, filing, and computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks

- Operate office computer and types correspondence, newsletters, manuscripts, articles, administrative reports, special events flyers and programs.
- Calculates, types, posts, and balances standard financial statements, reports, vouchers, requisitions, check requests, journal sheets, inventories, or expense accounts from standard sources making routine mathematical computations and checks for accuracy.

Assists CES Office personnel by greeting individuals calling in person or by telephone, refers caller to proper persons;
gives out information and maintains appointment schedules.
- Maintains files for office records, forms, and educational and training materials; conducts inventory and orders office supplies and training materials.
- Operates various office equipment such as personal computers, photocopiers, fax machines and calculators.

- Receives, reads and routes mail; may compose routine correspondence.
- Gathers data from files and other office records and prepares reports of a routine nature; makes basic mathematical calculations and tabulations;
