To achieve this state of success, this position will provide outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, this position will support the VP of Digital and Process Excellence in guiding enterprise-level strategic planning discussions and exercises.
This position is also responsible for the implementation and improvement of all applicable PMO processes and methodologies and takes full accountability for their proper and consistent execution on all enterprise projects.
Principal Responsibilities :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement PMO processes and policies, establish the PMO's strategic direction, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Project Portfolio Management : Oversee and prioritize the project portfolio, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated and projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Governance : Implement project governance structures and processes to ensure consistent project delivery.
- Mentoring and Team Development : Coach, mentor, and lead the PMO team. Ensure continuous training and development opportunities for PMO staff.
Develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employees' performance.
- Stakeholder Communication : Act as a key liaison between senior executives, stakeholders, and project teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project status, risks, and issues.
- Continuous Improvement : Evaluate and improve PMO processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Resource Management : Ensure optimal allocation of resources across projects; assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by PMO staff.
- Risk Management : Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that may impact the successful completion of projects.
- Reporting : Regularly provide PMO performance metrics, project status updates, and other relevant reports to senior management.
- Perform ongoing organizational budget planning activities in conjunction with the VP of Finance and VP of Accounting and in regard to enterprise-level projects, to account for project expenditures and cost estimates at project initiation and as project plans evolve.
- Responsible for exceptional member service to every member, every time by ensuring employees deliver consistently high-quality service to both internal and external member that is in alignment with our Brand Culture.
- Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives. Performs job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
- Must possess effective knowledge of the credit union's products and services.
- Ensure understanding of the Performance Management system and company-wide objectives.
- Fairly and consistently evaluate employees against the Allegacy behaviors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, required.
- 5-7 years of experience in relevant project management environment.
- PMP Certification highly preferred
- Proven experience in developing and implementing PMO policies and processes.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize respectively.
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and process skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, MindMap, SharePoint.
- Proficiency with PMO tools like MS Project, Jira, Trello, etc. .
