Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for working alongside classroom teachers to help care for our youngest students.
The ideal candidate is energetic, nurturing, patient, engaging and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Help facilitate classroom lesson plans provided by lead teacher
- Assist with diapering / potty, meals, and clean-up
- Work cooperatively with classroom teachers helping children reach social / emotional physical, and intellectual milestones
- Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities
- Not be afraid to have fun, be silly, get creative!
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Assistant Teaching certification or the qualifications to apply for the certificate :
- Previous experience in the field
- Completion of TECE 1 coursework or completion of early childhood HS pathway, or some college credits in early childhood
- Strong understanding of child development
- Dependability as consistency is important for classroom management
- First aid / CPR certified preferred
