We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our team. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer. #LI-Onsite

What You'll Do

  • Maintain in-depth, daily knowledge of the global economic events, trends, and market conditions, including the securities markets and individual securities
  • Contribute to the formation and adjustment of our tactical strategies and decisions, bringing thoughtful perspective, insight and opinion to the discussions
  • Provide constructive criticism of peer presentations and make recommendations that help improve the investment process, decisions, and long-term results
  • Contribute to the long-term evolution of our investment process, identifying opportunities that may contribute to client portfolios, maintain our competitive advantage, and provide fresh perspective on the ever-changing market environment, investment vehicles, and tactical strategies
  • Use a variety of tools including MCG Investment Matrix, Tamarac Reporting, Tamarac CRM (or Salesforce), Schwab Institutional Website, other internet sources and internal communication with Investment Committee
  • Field daily calls from assigned clients regarding all aspects of portfolio management and offer other advice based on client requests
  • Contact assigned clients to discuss all aspects of portfolio management as described above; Use conversations (review of their overall allocation) to identify the potential for new investment from these existing clients.
  • Maintain understanding of current and future market conditions by using sources such as : Wall Street Journal, Barrons, Financial Times, Magazines, Software / Databases (Morningstar, Zacks, etc.), etc.
  • Meet with selected clients to discuss modification to portfolio strategy, financial planning and tax scenarios
  • Implement client account changes by entering trades using Schwab Institutional Website. Ensure required documentation is completed for each transaction
  • Support marketing staff in the creation of prospect proposals and meetings
  • Exceed our standards in supporting an exceptional client experience, serve as an important member of the client team
  • Participate in "Center of Influence" activities and be an ambassador of the firm within the community
  • Occasional travel for client / prospect / investment research activities

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years' experience in Wealth Strategy / Investment Management space
  • Experience working with HNW families with professionalism to engage them in investment conversations.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CFP, CFA or MBA highly preferred
  • Series 63, 65 or 66
  • Demonstrated interest in, and knowledge of, finance, economics and global capital markets
  • Strategic thinker, implementing both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Resourceful in analyzing and solving problems
  • Demonstrated oral and written skills to communicate with clients, their advisors, and fellow colleagues - both in-person and through different media
  • Thoughtfully handle confidential information and sensitive situations, you will require demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills across the Microsoft Office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Tamarac (portfolio accounting software), Factset, Bloomberg, Schwab Institutional website, and Fidelity Institutional website a plus
  • Recognize the priority of compliance within the securities industry and the importance of our compliance related policies and practices
