Certified Respiratory Therapist - Tucson, AZ
Posterity Group LLC is currently recruiting a Certified Respiratory Therapist to provide care to our Veterans at the Southeast Tucson VA Clinic, located at 7395 S Houghton Rd, Tucson, AZ 85747.
Clinic hours are 8 : 00a 4 : 30p Monday Friday
COMPENSATION OF THE CERTIFIED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST :
- Salary : $64,992 - $81,261
- 10 days of paid vacation
- 7 days sick leave per year
- 11 paid Federal holidays per year
- CEUs $ 1,000 annually.
- $4.57 / hr. Health & Welfare allowance contributes to the cost of health insurance, short- and long-term disability. Cash in Lieu of

DUTIES OF THE CERTIFIED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST :
- Assist with diagnosing lung or breathing disorders.
- Evaluate patients and perform tests and studies.
- Determine appropriate therapy and treatment options with physicians.
- Analyze blood and sputum in the lab.
- Sets up, operates, and adjusts oxygen therapy equipment and humidifiers.
- Checks piped-in and emergency oxygen supplies, changes tanks, and orders oxygen.
- Meeting with and examining patients who have pulmonary diseases, disorders, or complications
- Conducting, performing, and analyzing diagnostic and function tests to assess lung capacity and capability
- Working with physicians and nurses to create treatment plans
- Treating patients with aerosol medications and chest physiotherapy
- Evaluating progress of treatment
- Administering inhalants
- Operating mechanical ventilators and other machines
- Completing discharge planning by working with other members of the medical team
- Training patients how to administer treatments and use equipment on their own
- Keeps records of treatments, does patient charting, and orders supplies.
- Educates patients concerning respiratory problems and consults with nursing staff
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CERTIFIED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST :
- Successfully completed a two-year accredited course study leading to an associate degree in respiratory therapy
- Certified Respiratory Therapy licensure
- Must possess AHA BLS certification
- Must be a US Citizen.
