JOB DESCRIPTION :
A large healthcare system local to south jersey is looking to hire clinical nurse educators to their team on their med surg and critical care floors.
The clinical nurse educators will ensure quality control for a safe clinical environment, assist with RN competencies and assist with running new educator topics to review with the RN's on shift.
They RN educator will also help with patient care at the bedside along with the nurses on staff for any escalations.
MED SURG : Two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Will support a variety of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psych.
Also to support the Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) which help with patient care, and assignments
CRITICAL CARE : level one trauma center, advanced comprehensive stroke center with 4 adult critical care units. The Viner ICU which houses a 30-bed critically ill adult patients ranging from post open heart to septic shock.
All the Critical Care Units routinely receive transfers in from the flight team, hospital transfers or directly from the ED or Trauma Bay.
The Clinical Education team will be embedded in the unit’s clinical staff and involved in clinical partnerships with new technology, new devices, critical care courses and focused on the staff that require a high degree of competence in assessment, critical thinking and technical skills.
