- This position developsmaintains and reports on the charge data master ( chargemaster )ensuring data integrity between the chargemaster and eachdepartment s files.
Facilitates a global process for clinicalservice line leaders to take active responsibility for chargecapture chargemaster (coding) accuracy and revenue integrityincluding consultation with clinical service line leadersthroughout the organization.
Worksclosely with Senior Leadership Directors department leaders IT andInformatics. Has regular access to highly confidentialinformation.
TheChargemaster Analyst MinimumQualifications :
- Minimumof an Associates Degree in finance business health or related fieldor equivalent experiencerequired.
- Demonstrated knowledge ofchargemaster medical terminology and coding systems healthcarebilling the Medicare program reimbursement and revenue integrity aswell as healthcare complianceregulations.
- Coding certificationpreferred
- Minimum of 3 years ofexperience in hospital charge capture review hospital billing orhealth information management in a hospital setting stronglypreferred.
- Experience maintainingprice files and recordkeeping.
