NFI Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Youth and Family Clinician to facilitate the smooth transition of youth from residential treatment to the community.
As a Youth and Family Clinician, you will collaborate with Department of Youth Service (DYS) staff and the residential treatment team to ensure a seamless and stable transition for youth and their families.
This position involves providing clinical interventions and support to youth and families in various settings, including homes, programs, and our district offices in Lynn, Haverhill, Lawrence, and Lowell.
Specific Duties :
- Collaborate with youth and families during residential treatment to plan for a successful transition to the community
- Provide primary clinical intervention and support for youth post-transition, tailored to their specific needs
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including DBT skills, psycho-education for parents, and family communication support
- Employ interpersonal skill-building strategies to address conflict resolution, moral reasoning, gang involvement, and substance abuse
- Work closely with the Clinical Transition Team and report to the Community Clinical Coordinator
- Lead or assist in the facilitation of family groups with the support of Parent Partners
- Complete data entry as required and participate in treatment review meetings
Position Qualifications Required :
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Eligibility for LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT within 2 years of hire
- Proficiency in computer use
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Additional Information :
- No on-call duties or weekend work required
- Monday through Friday, 9-5 with one work-from-home day
- Salary range : $70,000 - $75,000
The position expects that all applicants will also have the necessary companion skills and capabilities, including but not limited to an ability to use a computer, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle to carry out the demands of this position.
