Regional Director of College Success

Role Mission : IDEA Public Schools’ vision is to become the largest producer of low-income college graduates. As a leading charter organization, IDEA Public Schools is on track to make this vision a reality.

The Director of College Success is responsible for the strategy and follow through of all college readiness and matriculation initiatives and support and coaching of Directors of College Counseling and College Counselors.

Location : This is a full-timeposition based inthe Upper RGV, with priority given to candidates who live inthe regionor who are willing to relocate.

What You’ll Do - Accountabilities

Essential Duties :

  • Plan and execute initiatives for financial aid and avoiding the summer melt.
  • Plan for and create a system for following up with high priority senior students throughout the school year and the summer. (SCHOOL Portfolio)
  • Ensure 100% high quality applications to selective and highly selective universities (SCHOOL Portfolio)
  • Lead and Co-Lead high quality Professional Development for DCCs and CCs.
  • Review and provide feedback to all applications to Tier 1 and 2 colleges anduniversities
  • Plan and execute initiatives for financial aid and avoiding the summer melt.
  • Ensure 100% high quality applications to selective and highly selective universities (SCHOOL Portfolio)
  • Plan and Lead and Co-Lead high quality Professional Development for DCCs and CCs.
  • Plan and execute initiatives for financial aid and avoiding the summer melt.

  • Plan and lead and Co-Lead high quality Professional Development for DCCs and CCs.
  • Plan and follow up with CSS Profile, Scholarships and Financial Aid for students applying to and getting accepted to Tier 1 or Tier 2 Universities (SCHOOL Portfolio)
  • Plan and lead and Co-Lead high quality Professional Development for DCCs and CCs.
  • Coach and Develop Director of College Counseling in schoolportfolio
  • Observe and coach Directors of College Counseling with College Counselors for schoolportfolio
  • Create team of counselors for school portfolio
  • Create strategy and vision for Track 4 training for the nationalteam
  • Roll out, observe and provide feedback on the roll out of Track 4training
  • Provide training, coaching and support for Track 4training

What You Bring - Competencies

Experience :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree required;Master’sdegree preferred
  • Experience : 3yearsteaching and3 yearsschool administrative experience (required)Experience with Coaching and developing leadersat the regional or national levelpreferredExperience managing others to achievegoals

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Proven track record of successleading an A or B rated schoolwith 100% College Matriculationoutcomes
  • Experience withthe full cycle process of matriculating agraduatingclass
  • Experience developing and leading professional developmentaround CCMR, TSI, HB4545, Path to an A and the entire college applicationprocess
  • Experience with creating master schedules, transcripts, record requests, tracking failures and updating On Track to Graduate (OTG) reports for campusstaff
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

What We Offer :

Compensation & Benefits :

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $77,200 and $90,300,commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity.

This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.

Additionally, we offer medical, dental, and vision plans, disability, life insurance, parenting benefits, flexible spending account options, generous vacation time, referral bonuses, professional development, and a 403(b) plan.
