Senior Interior Designer Location : New York Job Description Todd Klein, Inc. seeks Senior Interior Designer for a full-time position in our New York City Studio.
Candidates will work directly with Todd and his team in all aspects of the interior design, architecture and construction management.
Manage scope of work, schedules and budgets for large scale projects
Create and maintain project documentation
FF&E Sourcing and Procurement
Create and update furniture plans and elevations
Review architectural plans, construction documents and shop drawings
Collaborate with Principal Designer and team
Manage team of junior designers to efficiently implement design
Manage several projects concurrently
Communicate directly with clients, vendors, architects, contractors, and subcontractors
Manage and organize installation
Job Requirements Bachelors degree
7+ years Senior Level Experience
Experience with interior architecture and construction documents
Experience managing detailed architectural schedules (plumbing, appliance, lighting, hardware)
Experience specifying architectural materials (flooring, stone, tile, lighting)
Knowledge of high-end NYC trade sources, showrooms and workrooms
Experience managing international and out of state projects and installations a plus
Able to travel for out of state site visits and installations
Organized Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team within a small, collaborative office environment
Strategic thinker and problem solver
Ability to manage and develop junior designers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor with polite phone and email etiquette
Proficient in Microsoft Suite
AutoCAD a plus not required
Experience using Design Manager Software a plus not required
