Interior Designer Category : Interior Design Location : New York Job Description Josh Greene Design is seeking a highly motivated, organized, innovative, pragmatic and creative individual with 3-5 years experience to join our team as an Interior Designer.
Applicants should share our passion for design and commitment to excellence, and possess the industry experience and technical acumen to drive projects from conception to completion.
Candidates need a thorough understanding of the interior design process from scheming, budgeting, scheduling and purchasing to installing on site.
Correspondence and coordination among the principal, contractors, clients and vendors via excellent communication skills is imperative.
Organization and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.

Job Requirements BA / BFA / Masters in Interior Design (or related degree).
Expertise in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop is required. Illustrator, Sketch Up and Rhino a definite plus.
Candidate should have at least 3 years experience in the residential interior design sector.
Candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a friendly and outgoing manner
and professionalism that is in keeping with our sensibility.
Candidate should have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, ability to focus on details, strong organizational skills, and be able to multi-task with flexibility.
Knowledge of Studio Designer a definite plus.
Work directly with Principal on all phases of multiple design projects from concept through completion.
Ability to prepare client presentations, including space planning, architectural drawings in AutoCAD, color and fabric schemes and custom elements including window treatments, lighting and furniture pieces.
Source and shop for furniture, fabrics and finishes.
Manage project budgets and schedules.
Manage orders with vendors from initial proposals through installation.
Communicate with clients, vendors, architects and all trades.
Design custom millwork and furniture and review shop drawings.
