Job Description
Great opportunity for a motivated and energetic Dental assistant II to join the team in an established, fast-paced pediatric dental practice.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has an energetic upbeat personality and a positive outlook.
Strong work ethic is a huge plus. You must hold a DA II / Coronal polishing ceritficate to apply for this position and you must have your NC x-ray certificate.
Experience with Eaglesoft helpful!
Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance : Support the dentist during procedures, managing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Patient Care : Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- X-Ray Imaging : Capture dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols.
- Patient Education : Guide patients on oral hygiene, post-op care, and treatment options.
- Records Management : Accurately update patient records and dental charts in EHR systems.
- Infection Control : Strictly follow sterilization and disinfection protocols.
- Appointment Scheduling : Help manage and confirm patient appointments.
- Collaboration : Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and support.
Qualifications
- Must have current CPR Certification
- Must have Coronal Polishing Certification
- X-ray certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in dental procedures and instrument handling.
- Thorough understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA standards.
- A compassionate approach to patient care and comfort.
