Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process
- Produce and review journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Complete the consolidation of U.S. and foreign entities
- Analyze trial balances for inaccuracies, accruals, and ensure GAAP compliance
- Monitor large data sets to support account reconciliations and analysis
- Assess and verify contracts and new transactions for proper accounting
- Plan quarterly and annual audits including preparing audit schedules
- Contribute to the development and oversight of internal controls and policies
- Automate financial reporting and closing processes to improve quality
- Implement new accounting systems, including new lease accounting (ASC 842)
Requirements
- 6+ years of accounting operations experience
- Open to industry background
- Private or combo accounting experience
- Motivated, analytical, and hands-on
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Technically savvy
