Job Description :
u2022 2+ years of litigation experience preferred u2022 Experience in a law firm; expectation of supporting from 2-3 attorneys at a time.
u2022 Proficient with calendaring, docketing, handling expense reports and entering attorneys billable hours into various billing software portals.
u2022 Drafting, formatting, and proofreading client correspondence and legal documents including stipulations, orders, subpoenas, etc.
u2022 Working with various law firm vendors to ensure tasks such as service of process, requesting court records etc. are done correctly.
u2022 Assisting attorneys with trial preparation and case management
u2022 Demonstrated experience handling a robust open and active client caseload.
Responsibilities :
Advanced use of MS Word and Outlook as well as an ability to quickly learn other applications
Intermediate to advanced computer aptitude in order to use various features of multiple software programs (including word processing, footnotes, redlining, copying / pasting, comparing documents)
Proficiency in the use of document management systems (iManage preferred)
Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to prioritize work and manage workflow
Ability to compose, edit and proofread legal documents, correspondence and reports
Ability to coordinate and manage routine administrative work, such as scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, preparing expense reimbursements, etc.
