Job Title : Payroll Clerk
Location(s) : South Bend, IN
2nd Shift : 3pm-11 : 30pm Monday through Friday)
Position Overview :
Responsible for administering all functions of the time and attendance payroll system. Ensure accurate payroll data by receiving proper documentation for reconciling of daily worked hours and incentive pay for union employees.
Work closely with Human Resources department to ensure that payroll actions are in conformance with union employment and benefits practices.
- Duties and Responsibilities.
- Inputs, review, and clear payroll exception to daily timecards in ADP E-Time based payroll system.
- Works directly with Supervisors / Operators to gather accurate pay information.
- Posts related daily production into manufacturing system.
- Prepares summary & spreadsheet data for incoming shift.
- Handle all production entry into the time and attendance system.
- Reconciles daily pay & production summary with Supervisor assistance.
- Tracks all daily pay adjustments & maintain related spreadsheets upon receiving documentation from Supervisors.
- Resolving timecard and payroll discrepancies by answering any employee payroll queries.
- Being an effective team player, by training, developing, and supporting the payroll team.
- Prepare and distribute reports as requested.
- Additional duties : label printing, static record review, inventory, and assigned tasks as time allows.
Skills and Experience :
- 1+ years of ADP E-Time system or equivalent payroll system processing.
- 1+ years of union experience.
- Manufacturing environment & SAP exposure a plus but not necessary.
- Spreadsheet based program input / reconciliation with strong attention to accuracy & detail.
- Able to work independently and as a team to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced union environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate with employees and supervisors regarding their issues and concerns.
Education :
High School diploma / equivalency required with some related college experience preferred.
