Arborist Field Trainer

Position Overview :

We are looking for a Field Trainer with extensive experience in tree services to train and upskill our crews. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tree pruning, removal, and safety practices, and will work directly in the field with our teams.

The Field Trainer will be responsible for ensuring that our crews are proficient in various techniques, operate safely, and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities :

• Train crews on proper pruning techniques, climbing techniques, cutting methods, and overall efficiency.
• Provide hands-on training in the use of equipment such as bucket trucks, spider lifts, and cranes.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and instill a strong safety culture within the crews.
• Work alongside crews in the field, providing real-time feedback and guidance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in developing soft skills in crew leaders, including customer communication and leadership abilities.
• Facilitate onboarding and continuous training programs for new and existing employees.
• Travel overnight as needed to train crews at different branches.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tree services, including pruning, removal, and safety practices.
• Extensive knowledge of proper pruning, climbing, and cutting techniques.
• Proficiency in operating bucket trucks, spider lifts, and cranes.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to lead by example.
• ISA Arborist Certification is required. Candidates with this certification will be given the highest consideration.
• CTSP Certification is preferred but not required. Candidates without the CTSP certification must be willing to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to crew leaders and crew members.
• Patience and strong interpersonal skills to effectively train and develop team members.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required.

• 8-9 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday (some weekends)
