Accounts Receivable Specialist, Senior

Key Role :

Serve as the lead and key functional project member providing oversight for multiple AR teams, supporting project set-up, invoicing, collections, and risk management processes, and supporting the financial systems transformation ERP implementation for the firm.

Optimize cash flow by providing guidance and setting the priorities to organize people and resources toward an effective and efficient pursuit of predetermined results while ensuring compliance against SOX key controls and regulatory requirements surrounding the billing and project set-up.

Manage and control Unbilled costs to optimize Billed Receivables and work with various leadership to facilitate resolution in a timely manner.

Collaborate with client teams, contracts, and internal financial staff to identify and work through complex challenges and provide creative solutions.

Lead AR teams, work through others to optimize results against predetermined targets, and shift priorities to meet department and firm monthly and quarterly targets.

Lead change management activities in the department, creating, socializing, and implementing new and innovative processes and strategies.

This position is located in Mclean, VA or Norfolk, VA. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience with commercial and government contracting, including project setup, invoicing, cash collection, or program support
  • 5+ years of experience with direct project and staff management
  • Experience with Costpoint Billing and Project Set-up modules
  • Experience with Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and Power BI
  • Experience with using Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables to analyze large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, including supporting key controls and processes, leading remediation activities, and internal controls testing
  • Knowledge of the full contract life cycle and its financial impact across other organizations
  • Ability to lead and manage high performance teams who can work independently and in a cross-functional environment
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
