The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a Technical Communications Specialist to join the IT department at a prestigious, international law firm.
The Specialist will handle disseminating complex IT solutions in easy to understand language to a broad audience, collaborate closely with IT leadership, and stay up to date with industry trends.
This is a great opportunity for a communications specialist who has a technical writing background and is looking for a dynamic role!
Responsibilities Include :
- Draft and edit communications in support of IT strategy
- Manage content for the IT intranet site
- Create communication campaign strategies
- Collect feedback and utilize other metrics to inform future communications plans
- Stay up to date on IT and communications trends and implement new best practices as needed
- Collaborate with CIO and IT leadership to ensure communications are in alignment with the team's goals and strategies
Qualifications Include :
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of IT communications experience
- Large law firm experience preferred
- Technical writing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to understand technical solutions and language and communicate that simply and effectively to a broad audience
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Technical certifications preferred (PMP, CSM, etc.)
- Technical skills : Project, program, collaboration, and portfolio management tools experience
- Ability to work with personnel across all levels
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
