Special Education Teacher

Location : Los Angeles, CA

Position Type : Full-Time

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities.
• Design and deliver differentiated instruction to support various learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and integrated learning environment.
• Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies and interventions as needed.
• Provide support in developing students' social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing educational outcomes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Valid California teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, and best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, educators, and families.
• Passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Bilingual candidates prefered.
