Project Equityis currently expanding and deepening our work in multiple regionsaround thecountry.

YOURROLE

Project Equity is agrowing organization on the cusp of our 10 year anniversary thisyear and progressing toward independence from our fiscal sponsor inearly 2025.

This exciting convergence also makes this a criticaltime to add executive leadership in the area of finance andoperations.

The Head of Finance and Administration will have a leadrole in defining our postfiscal sponsor structures and vendorrelationships securing those relationships and in refining andmaintaining the infrastructure we already possess.

Thisis an executive team role reporting to the CEO. The role willsupport the CEO and executive team in areas of budget and financialperformance management Board of DIrector relations and strategicplanning for growth and change.

This role will also partner ongrant / fundraising and earned revenue efforts lead theprofessionalization and roll out of procedures systems and policiesand support our culture of test learn execute EID (equity inclusionand diversity) and mutualrespect.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCE

FiscalLeadership

Act as a strategic partner with theCEO and the executive team providing advice on financial operationsanalysis budgeting managing debt and investments.

Serve as aleadership liaison to the board of directors the Finance Committeeand the Investment Committee. Develop and implement short andlongrange finance goals policies andprocedures.

Provide support to program staffmanaging the Employee Ownership Catalyst Fund and the AccelerateEmployee Ownership capital initiative including reporting andengagement with vendors supporting organizational fiscalmanagement

Financialand Accounting Operations

Source and manage anappropriate accounting vendor to transition and support ProjectEquity s accounting and financial management needs presently andwith a view towardgrowth.

  • Analyze and present financialreports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicatemonthly / quarterly and annual financial statements;
  • collatefinancial reporting materials for funders; administer and reviewall financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes;

andkeep key staff abreast of the organization s financialstatus.

Oversee all financialproject / program and grantsaccounting.

Coordinate and lead the annual auditprocess liaise with external auditors and the finance committee ofthe board of directors;

assess any changesnecessary.

Manage organizational cash flow andforecasting. Maintain banking and investment managementrelationships in consultation with theCEO.

Maintain a robust contractsmanagement system; ensure that the contract billing and collectionschedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow aresteady and support operationalrequirements.

Update and implement all necessarybusiness policies and accounting practices; establish and maintainfinance and accountingprocedures.

Effectively communicate and presentthe critical financial matters to the board ofdirectors.

OPERATIONS ANDADMINISTRATION

OrganizationalOperations Systems

Oversee software systems selectionand maintenance. Ensure adequate policies and procedures foroptimization and user experience / uptake.

Ensure adequate systems developmentand refinement support and processes are inplace.

Work with Program staff to ensuresystems and processes that facilitate cross program workeffectiveness and reportingability.

Administrative Functions andControls

Assess secure and manageorganizational Insuranceneeds.

Assess contract and legal needsacross the organization. Retain and manage key legal vendorrelationships as appropriate.

Provide internal support forcontract review and management. Support obtaining outside supportas appropriate.

Review refine and maintainorganizational policies and procedures. Ensuring organizationaluptake and adherence.

HROversight

Source and manage an appropriate PEOvendor to transition and support Project Equity s human resourcesneeds presently and with a view toward growth and in line with ourvalues and culture.

Provide leadership in talentacquisition efforts including reviewing job descriptions andmanaging vendors to support recruitment efforts in line with ourvalues and culture.

Ensure a thorough onboarding processfor new hires.

Work with our PEO vendor and outsideemployment legal counsel to ensure legal compliance with applicablefederal and state HR requirements manage investigations andmaintain records.

Work with our PEO vendor and theexecutive team to ensure compensation and benefit practices areeffective competitive andcompliant.

Support the annual performancemanagement process in line with our values andculture.

Support the roll out ofEquity Inclusion and Diversitywork.

Act as a point of contact foremployee relations addressing complaints and / or grievances andfostering a positive workenvironment.

Strategic and AnnualPlanning

Lead annual budgeting and planningprocess in conjunction with the CEO and Head ofPrograms.

Support the development and reviewof longer range strategic plans goals and budget.

Support the implementation of plansand goals together with the Head of Programs and the executiveteam.

TeamDevelopment / Leadership

Manage lead mentor coach and developstaff providing positive optimistic leadership and problem solving.

Foster a culture of resultscollaboration responsibility and accountability while inspiring andmotivating staff.
