The Staff Accountant will support the monthly close and reporting cycle within the Financial Accounting Department of the Montefiore Health System.
Responsibilities include various journal entry uploads, journal entry preparation, prepaid analysis, transaction research, account reconciliations, various account analysis, and other ad hoc analysis work.
Education : Bachelor's Degree required.
Skills : Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Access and Word required. Knowledge and experience with SAP or other major accounting systems strongly desired.
Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting. Knowledge of financial statements in a multi-tiered organization.
