This position will ensure day-to-day operations are executed by completing complex professional functions in the field for the nursing home program.
This includes oversight of state licensure inspections and federal Medicare / Medicaid certification surveys as well as complaint investigations, in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, policies, protocol and procedures applicable to the regulation of long-term care facilities.
The selected candidate will have direct supervision of approximately ten health facility surveyors and collaboration with support staff.
The duties and responsibilities of this position require the individual to have at least 3 years of experience as a health facility surveyor in the nursing home program and to have successfully completed CMS Long-Term Care Surveyor training, passed the surveyor minimum qualification test and be QIS certified.
The individual must demonstrate an acceptable level of proficiency with computer programs, business writing and possess a valid driver's license.
Minimum Qualifications
Training : Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.
Substitution : One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.
Experience : Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, one year of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
Substitution : Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.
