The Senior Project Manager - PIDS role with our Randstad client in Washington, DC, is an integral part of the Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for overseeing a variety of technology projects across the corporation, including departments like Marketing and Train Operations.
This position requires a strong task master capable of coordinating site surveys, site installations, and managing large-scale hardware rollouts.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex, multi-departmental projects involving various external vendors.
While SAFe experience is not required, a PMP certification is preferred. The role involves ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards by applying formal project management methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities : Oversee and manage large, complex technology projects across multiple departments, ensuring successful implementation and rollout of all hardware and software.
Coordinate site surveys and installations, effectively managing the rollout of large-scale hardware deployments. Utilize formal project management processes, including scheduling, risk and issue management, and change control.
Maintain project budgets, tracking expenditures, and reporting on financial performance. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring departmental interests are represented and protected.
Apply strong analytical skills to solve complex project-related issues. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, tailoring messages appropriately for different audiences.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Utilize project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, and others to track project progress and performance.
