We are seeking an enthusiastic Sr Application Development Engineer for our application engineering team, specializing in 3rd party integration and SDK development to help develop and maintain the integration of partner applications and Vizio’s device platform and account services.

The Sr Application Engineer will be responsible for working directly with project stakeholders and directing and mentoring a team to successfully implement new products and features.

We are a close-knit team, focusing on challenging problems that make a difference in our business. We concentrate on high-impact, high-value development, and in this role, you’ll be delivering the software that helps us grow by providing a seamless experience for our partners to integrate with our platform.

We pride ourselves on working in a collaborative environment, and to do so we are in our Denver, CO office 5 days a week.

What You Will Do

• Be involved with every stage of the application software development lifecycle.
• Design APIs / SDKs used by other teams, both internal and external to the company.
• Drive the execution and delivery of features by collaborating with many cross functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers.
• Make critical decisions that contribute to the success of projects.
• Participate in architecture discussions and project planning.
• Participate in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams.
• Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members’ success.
• Advocate for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions.

About You

• You pay attention to edge cases, evaluating how a design might break and engineering solutions that provide stability and excellent user experiences.
• Experience with UI and SDK development in HTML & JS is required.
• Experience working with modern front end build systems and CI / CD pipelines.
• Attention to details, provide focused project management, accurate and detailed system analyses.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

For Colorado-based employment : The minimum salary for this position is $110,000 / year. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, as well as equity and a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits.
