ECS is seeking an Audiovisual Specialist to work in our Bethesda, MD office .
Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Audiovisual Specialist to join our team at ECS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of NHLBI workshops, ensuring that all audiovisual requirements are met seamlessly.
This role is currently remote due to Covid-19 but may require in-person attendance in the future.
The Audiovisual Specialist will work closely with other service departments within NIH to provide comprehensive technical support and maintain an inventory of all audiovisual equipment and accessories.
They will troubleshoot and resolve issues with audiovisual equipment during events and ensure that all safety protocols are followed during audiovisual equipment operations.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Provide best-in-practice support to multiple event formats, including In-person, Virtual and Hybrid events.
- Develop Run of Shows.
- Participate in pre-planning logistics meetings.
- Support technical dry-runs.
- Set up and operate audiovisual equipment.
- Provide technical assistance to presenters and manage virtual meeting rooms.
- Provide full room reconfiguration when required.
- Reset furniture to default configuration after events.
- Provide room management.
- Assist presenters with loading and running presentations.
- Set up and configure virtual meeting rooms.
- Provide dedicated, uninterrupted service during virtual events.
Required Skills :
- 1 + years relevant experience with audio-visual equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 + years of experience with television equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the following knowledge, abilities and skills :
- Thorough knowledge of protocols and AV design, including signal flow, video bridging and gateways, and applicable platforms, including WebEx, Zoom, Cisco, and Microsoft Teams.
- Knowledge of the operational and maintenance characteristics of a variety of television equipment used to produce live or taped productions.
- Knowledge of the techniques used to produce live or taped television productions.
- Knowledge of pre- and post-production techniques.
- Knowledge of safety precautions normally associated with studio work.
- Ability to set up and operate a variety of television production equipment.
- Ability to coordinate production requirements and meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to deal with others, using tact and diplomacy.
Desired Skills :
- Understanding of Federal protocols as they pertain to and align with events.
- Experience supporting federal, scientific events.
