RECEIVER

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

FURNACE OPERATORS

Endothermic, Vacuum & Temper

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ability to understand and read the traveler
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Fill out the weekly maintenance sheets
• Keep the department neat and clean
• Have knowledge of the furnaces : overtemps, atmosphere control, quench oil, generator, probes
• Ability to install and remove charts and proper chart signoff for documentation
• Ability to use SSI control instrumentation for charts
• Track steps in and out of computer in Visual Track
• Ability to follow a schedule
• Ability to perform basic hardness testing
• Proper handling methods and maintenance of lot control
• Part counting and packing methods
• Move work in scheduled areas
• Wear safety glasses, uniforms and safety shoes
• Support other departments when asked

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Basic computer, Visual Track, SSI charts
• Forklift operations
• Communication, verbal, phone and computer
• Hand & power tools, Rockwell testing
• Ability to read and speak the English language
• Ability to work well with others

Physical Demands :

• Ability to manually lift, push or pull a maximum of 40 pounds
• Ability to sit or stand a minimum of 2 hours at one time
• Ability to get in and out of a standard forklift
• Ability to climb stairs and walk a minimum of ½ mile at one time

Work Environment :

The position is in a manufacturing environment and involves the ability to sit, stand, walk and lift for long periods of time throughout the day.
